This one is a huge problem for anyone wanting to bill minimum time on a ticket. So if you aren’t aware, here is the current hole in the system.

ConnectWise currently has minimum time per time entry. But lets say you want to set minimum time per ticket – i.e. everytime a client logs a ticket we want to bill a minimum 0.5 hours. You could set the time entry to be minimum 0.5, but what if there were 2 time entries? Now you have an hour minimum – so that’s a problem.

We resolve this logic, by reviewing resolved (unbilled) time on the ticket and rolling up the last billable time entry to bring the balance up to your minimum ticket time.

Example 1, rolling up to X, where x equals 0.5:

First Time Entry 0.1

Second Time Entry 0.1

Trick runs and converts the Second Time Entry to 0.4

Example 2, rolling up to X, where x equals 0.3:

First Time Entry 0.1

Second Time Entry 0.1 is non-billable

Trick runs and converts the First Time Entry to 0.3
